Anatel updates Cybersecurity regulations
The Board of Directors of the National Telecommunications Agency published last Wednesday (7), in the Official Gazette of the Union, updates on Anatel Resolution No. 767, which amends the Cybersecurity Regulation Applied to the Telecommunications Sector.
The resolution applies to submarine cable operators with international destinations, personal mobile service providers, owners of their own networks and network operators that offer traffic in the wholesale market.
The update addresses aspects of contracting data processing and storage services and cloud computing and impacts on:
- Evaluating the supplier's capacity and the compatibility of its security practices;
- Mapping and implementing procedures and controls to mitigate risks;
- Managing security incidents in a complex and efficient manner;
- Mitigating identified vulnerabilities with rigorous procedures and controls;
- Evaluating dependence on data processing and storage suppliers, predicting possible operational and financial impacts.
