On June 11, 2026, the Inter-American Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC) will hold a special webinar in celebration of World Accreditation Day (WAD 2026).
The event will bring together representatives from accreditation bodies, conformity assessment bodies, governments, international organizations, and other stakeholders to discuss the role of accreditation in strengthening trust, innovation, and sustainability.
Topics to be addressed include:
- Governance, innovation, and sustainability in the context of accreditation;
- The role of accreditation in building trust in markets;
- International cooperation and global recognition;
- Challenges and opportunities for conformity assessment systems.
The program will feature international experts, including representatives from the accreditation community across the Americas and guests from international organizations. Among the confirmed speakers is Kim Rieffel, who will participate in the panel “Fostering Innovation and Building Trust: The Role of Accreditation.”
The event will take place on June 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. (Brasília time).
