Tomorrow, the Inter-American Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC) will hold its special webinar in celebration of World Accreditation Day (WAD 2026).
This year's theme — Innovation, Trust, and Sustainability — is closely aligned with the current challenges facing quality infrastructure, conformity assessment, regulation, and international cooperation.
One of the highlights of the program will be the panel “Fostering Innovation and Building Trust: The Role of Accreditation,” featuring Kim Rieffel, CEO of PCN Latin America.
PCN Latin America's participation in this discussion is particularly relevant because it helps connect the global conversation on accreditation with the practical needs of markets, conformity assessment bodies, regulators, and the various productive sectors across our region.
At a time when new technologies, sustainability requirements, and regulatory models are advancing rapidly, accreditation plays a strategic role: supporting innovation through technical credibility, transforming claims into evidence, and strengthening confidence in the decisions made by governments, businesses, and consumers.
