Non-certified products

Anatel steps up enforcement actions and seizes over BRL 1.5 million in non-compliant products

In operations carried out in the states of Espírito Santo and Santa Catarina, Anatel – the Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency – seized over 4,000 non-certified telecommunications products, reinforcing efforts to combat the sale of items that do not meet Brazil's technical and safety regulations.

In Vitória (ES), the operation led to the seizure of 2,300 irregular products, including chargers, cables, headphones, and routers being sold without certification on marketplaces and in physical stores. In Itajaí (SC), around BRL 1 million worth of uncertified goods were removed from the market following coordinated actions supported by the Civil Police.

These initiatives are part of Anatel’s national inspection plan, aimed at protecting consumers, ensuring the technical compliance of products sold in the country, and preventing the circulation of devices that may compromise the performance of telecommunications networks.
