Anatel, Federal Police, and Federal Revenue Service Conduct New Joint Enforcement Operation in Rio Grande do Sul
Continuing integrated operations to curb the entry and commercialization of non-certified telecommunications products, Anatel — the National Telecommunications Agency — in partnership with the Federal Police and the Federal Revenue Service, carried out another enforcement operation — this time in the municipality of Pelotas (RS).
The operation resulted in the seizure of 720 irregular devices, including internet access devices and chargers, which were being offered to consumers without meeting the certification requirements mandated by Brazilian regulations.
These actions reinforce the institutions’ commitment to consumer protection, the security of telecommunications networks, and combating the illegal trade of products that have not undergone technical evaluation.
