Within its role as a consenting authority in the import of regulated products, Inmetro has made available the Importer’s Manual focused on procedures in Pucomex (Single Foreign Trade Portal). The publication aims to serve as a practical guide to assist importers in carrying out the basic steps required for the analysis of LPCO (Licenses, Permits, Certificates and Other Documents) by Inmetro.
The manual details the main stages and requirements involved in requesting Inmetro’s approval in the import process, which is now integrated into the digital Pucomex environment.
Among the procedures covered in the document are product registration in the Product Catalog, submission of the LPCO for Inmetro’s analysis, inclusion of the required technical documentation, and payment of the Federal Collection Guide (GRU) related to the approval service.
The initiative seeks to provide greater clarity to importers regarding submission steps, documentation, and administrative requirements within the electronic system, promoting predictability and compliance with regulatory requirements applicable to products under the Institute’s scope.
