Inmetro provides guidance and tips on energy savings

Inmetro provides guidance to reduce energy consumption on World Energy Efficiency Day

Inmetro – National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology – has issued guidance to help consumers reduce electricity consumption and save on their energy bills.

Among the highlighted recommendations is the importance of checking the energy efficiency label of the Brazilian Labeling Program (PBE) when purchasing appliances. Products classified in the most efficient categories consume less energy over time, contributing to cost reduction and more rational use of energy resources.

The Institute also recommends simple daily practices that can improve energy efficiency, such as avoiding leaving devices on standby mode, maintaining equipment properly, and using appliances in an optimized way.

The initiative reinforces the role of consumer information and energy labeling as important tools to encourage more efficient choices and promote responsible energy use.
