Celebration of World Accreditation Day 2025!
On June 9, 2025, World Accreditation Day WAD will be celebrated, a joint initiative of the International Accreditation Forum Inc IAF and the International Laboratory Accreditation Co-operation (ILAC) ILAC. In 2025, the central theme is "Accreditation: Global Trust for a Sustainable Future", highlighting the fundamental role that accreditation plays in building safer, more sustainable and economically stronger societies.
The accreditation guarantees that products, hashtag#services, systems and professionals meet internationally recognized technical requirements, providing security to consumers and strengthening trust in commercial transactions. It is estimated that, not all over the world, accreditation schemes support billions of dollars in international trade, reducing technical barriers and ensuring quality and safety in various sectors, such as health, food, telecommunications, energy and civil construction.
The involvement of accredited organizations is essential to encourage innovation, protect the environment and promote economic development. In Brazil and in Latin America, the quality infrastructure continues to grow, offering users more reliable products and processes aligned with the best global practices.
