GQII 2025 highlights the consistency of conformity assessment in Brazil

GQII 2025 reinforces the role of quality infrastructure and highlights the consistency of Brazil’s conformity assessment system

The 2025 edition of the Global Quality Infrastructure Index highlights quality infrastructure as a structural element for competitiveness, regulatory trust, and countries’ integration into global markets.

The technical report GQII Data Analytics Paper No. 7 shows that countries with well-established conformity assessment and accreditation systems tend to perform better in indicators related to regulatory predictability and the international recognition of their results.

In this context, Brazil stands out for its consistent performance, strongly supported by the robustness of its conformity assessment system and the work of Cgcre/Inmetro, which ensures the competence and reliability of organizations and laboratories, in alignment with international recognition arrangements.

The data reinforce that the existence of a robust technical infrastructure — with an emphasis on accreditation and conformity assessment — not only follows but enables countries’ competitive integration into global trade flows.
