Thirtieth edition of the IAAC General Assembly

The thirtieth edition of the IAAC General Assembly was marked by the face-to-face meeting of its representatives. This year, Antigua, Guatemala, was chosen to host the event.

IAAC, Inter-American Accreditation Cooperation, is a non-profit institution that plays a fundamental role in the accreditation and conformity assessment infrastructure in the Americas, promoting dialogue and cooperation between accreditation bodies and interested parties.

The event was attended in person by the CEO of the PCN group's operations in Latin America, Kim Rieffel, and was marked by important inaugurations from the Brazilian delegation - represented in the photo.

The head of the Accreditation Program Development division at Inmetro - National Institute of Metrology, Andrea Melo Queiroz, who has worked in the area since 2002, was elected president of the IAAC. Its vice president will be Sharonmae Shirley, from the Jamaican National Agency for Accreditation - JANAAC.

Furthermore, the director of LABELO Specialized Laboratories for conformity assessment, Israel Teixeira, was elected president of the IAAC Stakeholders Committee, with José Luis Ogando of IRAM - Instituto Argentino de Normalización y Certificación as vice president.
