As a result of the recent floods that affected Rio Grande do Sul, Inmetro published Ordinance No. 272 of May 27, 2024, implementing flexibility measures in its compliance assessment procedures, such as:
Deadline Extension: Extended deadlines for renewing certifications and inspections, allowing companies to reorganize without losing compliance.
Remote Assessment: Introduction of remote compliance assessments to reduce the need for travel and facilitate the certification process in affected areas.
Additional Technical Support: Provision of extra technical support to help companies adapt to new operational conditions.
These measures aim to minimize the economic and operational impacts on companies in the region, so that they can continue their activities safely and efficiently.
