This week, Matheus de Pauli, our electric mobility specialist, concluded the IEC Young Professionals program, a parallel event to the 87th IEC General Meeting, both based in the capital of Egypt, Cairo.
Program participants are chosen by the National Committee of each country. Brazil is represented by the Brazilian Committee for Electricity, Electronics, Lighting and Telecommunications, Cobei.
The event promotes the training of professionals to contribute to the development of standards and integrate IEC cooperation platforms.
On the occasion, Matheus was able to attend the presentation of IEC TC 125, the Technical Committee responsible for studies in Electrified Transport.
The IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, was founded in 1906 in London and is one of the most important standardization organizations for electrical and electronic technologies in the world, with influence on constructive aspects in more than 90% of products available on the market.
Among them, household appliances, meters, industrial machines, telecommunications equipment, medical equipment and other applications.
