Anatel - National Telecommunications Agency is the body responsible for regulating the certification of telecommunications products within the industry, the provision of telecommunications services and defines the acceptance criteria for approval processes.
Resolution No. 715/2019 describes the procedure for assessing the conformity of products of this origin, bringing great advancement to the system. Optimized the incorporation of new technologies with the establishment of technical requirements and operational procedures, improving the technical process of their definition.
Respecting the Regulatory Agenda for the 2023-2024 biennium, it was proposed to improve the regulations in question, which resulted in the Regulatory Impact Analysis Report and intends to promote updates to the items below:
• Infractions and Sanctions in the Conformity Assessment and Homologation Process, which aims to combat piracy and the irregular marketing of telecommunications products;
- Legitimized for Homologation, with the expansion of the range of new products and technology development that may be covered by regulation;
- Approval Identification Rules, as an opportunity to remove regulatory barriers for manufacturers and importers when affixing the Anatel approval seal;
- Treatment of Reconditioned or Refurbished Telecommunications Products, which verifies the adequacy of the regulatory provisions for products of this origin.
