Accredited Certification

IAF Guidance Guide explains the importance of choosing accredited certification bodies.

The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) has released a guide explaining the importance of choosing, for the certification of products, processes or systems, an accredited certification body, that is, those that have been independently and officially evaluated recognized by an accreditation body. In the Brazilian case, the General Accreditation Coordination (CGCRE) is the Inmetro body responsible for accreditations.

PCN Latam, in addition to being an accredited certification body, undergoing annual audits by Inmetro, accredits all of its voluntary certification programs with CGCRE, adding reliability and transparency to all of its certification processes. Some examples of voluntary certification accredited by PCN Latam are electric mobility components (batteries and charging stations) and energy storage systems, as well as Solid Waste Management Programs.

In addition to gains in reliability and support for the entire evaluation process, certification programs accredited by CGCRE and recognized by the IAF gain a global scale through multilateral recognition agreements from global accreditation bodies.
